It was a real tragedy on the fateful boat accident that occurred in the mediterranean sea enroute Italy, in which many Nigerian ladies lost their lives. A black day which will remain indelible in the heart of their families and siblings who will miss them after struggling to finance their ambitions to seek a golden fleece in foreign land. A big loss to the nation as a whole. Albeit, God knows the best for allowing such a misfortune to occur. No thanks to the poor and severe economic situation in the nation. They were given a burial rite by the Italian autorities.

Our 26 daughters are being buried in Italy today. Oh that this would be the LAST TIME we’d lose Daughters of Nigeria in such shamefully tragic manner on the Mediterranean Sea! - Oby Ezekwesili
